Abstract

The Climate Fresk, a renowned educational workshop born in France after the Paris Agreement, transforms the complexities of climate science into an engaging and accessible format. Using a gamified, card-based approach, this workshop simplifies intricate climate mechanisms, making them clear and understandable for all. It is based on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports – the same reports that inform global political and economic decision-making at the highest level. Whether you are a beginner or expert in climate science, there is plenty for you to learn from this workshop!

As a participant, you’ll gain valuable insights into the science of climate change, enhancing your ability to lead meaningful discussions and drive sustainable practices both in your personal, academic and professional environment and community. This special session for members for incoming PEAK/GPEAK students will not only hone your critical thinking and problem-solving skills but also foster a sense of community and shared purpose.
